i live very close to a supermarket. noticing that more shoppers are coming out with small half full bags than a trolley.
i haven't been shopping for 5 days now as i'm making do with what i bought on wednesday and generally am emptying the freezer and using up tins from eg 6 months to a year ago.
i am climbing the walls for chocolate and milk but we are making do with the uht soy milk i bought. we have no cheese or bread or wine and i'd love to just nip out and buy as it would be so easy for the kids' lunches.
i'm not going out until i need to do a larger quantity of shopping as i dont want to constantly in and out of shops.
is there any guidance on how often we should shop?
yes, i do need to get a life but im noticing people seem to be going for small amounts of things - appreciate that retail medicines like calpol/ sudafed and pain relief might be needed at short notice. i feel it defeats the point of shopping only when absolutely necessary.
again, appreciate front line workers like delivery drivers, carers, nhs works, police, ambulance need to pop in to get lunch etc but there still seems to be so many people walking to the supermarket that it doesnt seem like a proper lockdown.
anyone have any thoughts or want to shed any light about essential shopping and quantities?
