Should we contact the police about people who won't stay home?

I've seen a lot of things on Mumsnet about people who basically don't give a fuck and still plan to leave their house for the most non-essential reasons imaginable.

Should we alert the police if we become aware of anyone I'm our local areas who do this? Or would that be a waste of police time?

Nice for you OP in your manor house down the long drive miles from any neighbours. No point curtain twitching if you can't see anyone, so why did you even post?

@StrugglingThrough2 They all look like they are in couples or keeping 2m apart, and some are carrying shopping, so what is the problem?

I'm already rehearsing how I will explain my movements about town foraging food and medical necessities for my housebound terminally ill mother if I am stopped and questioned. I am working out each foray with military precision to maximise acquisition in the shortest amount of time and visiting the smallest amount of places. However as the GPs surgery has already stuffed up a set of tests by mislabelling samples the first time, requiring it to be done again, necessitating two more visits to the GP, and in addition did not explain that a Fentanyl patch prescription cannot be passed electronically therefore I have to collect the paper version from the surgery's pharmacy, then go to Boots and hope they will fill it because they don't do anything other than electronic prescriptions, because the surgery pharmacy hasn't got Fentanyl patches, I hope I can be forgiven for my multiple, repetitive and frustrating journeys on foot, which I guess are also exercise - yay - and not reported for flouting the rules. If I don't do any of this my Mum will be in pain and starving as she does not yet have carers who may be different every time even if something like that can be set up now. I am taking pressure off the NHS and Social care provision, wearing a mask and gloves at all times and following shielding to the letter as my Mum is in the vulnerable category. If someone reports me and I am prevented from doing any of this for any reason, because obviously I'm not wearing a sandwich board proclaiming my business, well, that will be all kinds of fun.

We have had a neighbour of my mum's hammering on the door to tell me to move my car further down the drive because the gardeners truck was parked a millimetre on their side of the shared path, my mum was too polite to tell her to go away but in reality we are in isolation due to health conditions & the fact ds & I have had chest infections, next time she knocks I will take great delight in telling her she is breaking our quarantine & had better isolate for 14 days.
