The 12 week stay at home group

Did it get smaller last night?
I was expecting it to include asthma, diabetes, heart conditions and my parents over 70s. All the things that had previously been mentioned.
But from what Boris said it only includes people who are already very seriously ill (and likely housebound already?).
I was hoping my parents would get a letter. They are taking steps to be "sensible" but they're certainly not staying at home.
Neither are my neighbours. Each of the four doors down has residents 80+. I put cards through their doors last week offering help. They have all called me, touched by the offer but to explain they plan to stay independent....

I also (in school) have someone on the old list (heart condition) who has not been included in the rota, causing some resentment, which I was happy to live with, but if he's now not on the list, maybe his colleagues are right?

The old list still stands I think, as in those people are strongly advised. The new list is people who need to take additional measures to those already in place.

It was always intended to be the super vulnerable.
That is not a synonym for decrepit. I was in marathon training,
I haven’t had my letter yet, but as I have blood cancer, I’m expecting it any time.
These measures are to protect the super-vulnerable,
Those in the vulnerable category still need to follow the advice as before. Rigid social distancing, only going out when absolutely unavoidable
And even those with no particular risk factors need to practice social distancing and only go out for necessary tasks

It is a difficult message to get across though vampire when school staff are being asked to continue to work and you're being told this group should stay in but there's another group that really must stay in.
It's no wonder it will take a few days and no doubt by then the rules will have changed.

No.
The 'vulnerable' list did not get smaller. That's still in place, exactly as it was before.
The new list is that subsection of the vulnerable who are exceptionally vulnerable, who are being asked not to go beyond their on homes at all.
