Tell me about the well stocked shops

Saw this on twitter, a thread where people posted examples and photos of well stocked shops, to show people that there is still food out there and no need to panic buy.

I’m in S Wales, some of the big supermarkets busy as expected,
lots to buy in express stores, my local Co-op had stock of everything including a small amount of spaghetti.
Independent Fruit and veg stall near me was stocked with everything.

West Midlands, few of the enormous stores still seemed to have the queues at 6am but it feels like people like the drama as local shops are ok? Loo roll a bit mia but I’m going for shake and shower approach and not too fussed.

No help to me if there's loads in stock in insert corner store in village in lightly populated county with no coronavirus cases.

My supermarkets are mental.

HouseElfy · 22/03/2020 15:48

In SE London and it has been mental but seems significantly better today. Local big sainsburys not busy at all and well stocked with fresh produce.

Snorkelface · 22/03/2020 15:50

I'm in densely populated city centre - supermarkets are stripped out but every corner shop is fully stocked and no one has put their prices up everyone is happy to get stuff from out the back if not on the shelves.

We are a local population of 400 in rural but central Scotland. Our shop has milk , bread . Baby milk , toilet paper , bleach , veg / fruit , local butcher meat ,calpol and pretty much all the essentials except pasta and hand wash .

MyHairNeedsASnip · 22/03/2020 15:55

My Aldi had everything this afternoon according to Dsis. Loo roll, cat litter, even the eggs are back.

Emcont · 22/03/2020 15:56

South East and both Aldi and Morrisons have been quite well stocked

I am actually in a city, smack in the centre too, cases not as high as London but the fear and panic buying are real and there are several supermarkets that have been stripped bare(as witnessed by myself on Thursday afternoon)......that wasn’t the point of the post though. Not posting so that people will read the post and think oh let’s all rush to a certain shop in a certain town etc

I haven't bothered going my usual supermarket this week, but M&S and the co-op have had pretty much everything in.

Flaxmeadow · 22/03/2020 16:08

Urban North of England
As far as the supermarkets go, from what I can gather, empty food shelves

Floralnomad · 22/03/2020 16:11

We are SE and dh was shopping with my sister yesterday and they ventured into Aldi which is not a usual haunt but it was next door to M and S and dh said they had pretty much everything on the list he had from his mother . They had already bought fresh chickens / pork etc in Sainsbury . Our local Tesco is ok for fresh veg / fruit but rubbish for everything else unless you are stupid / desperate enough to be queuing at opening time .

augustusglupe · 22/03/2020 16:14

Cheshire here and our local smallish supermarket is well stocked, apart from the hand sanitizer/loo roll. Everyone with baskets, fairly relaxed, non desperate atmosphere.
If these hoarders would just realise there is enough for everyone, if only they would only just step back for a few days, but we know they won’t.
I’m not going to be giving them any more info on where the well stocked shops are neither!

MrsPnut · 22/03/2020 16:18

There is a garden centre on the edge of the city here that has a butchers and posher farm shop feel. They sell Cook frozen meals and artisan booze etc.

DH went there yesterday to get something for Sunday dinner and came back with a piece of pork but he said there were no shoppers and loads of food. I also got some local gin for Mother's Day.

youcantellthem · 22/03/2020 16:21

I popped into our local Lidl today at around 1pm, they had everything. Meat, bread, fruit and veg. Queues were short too.

Similar in the co-op I popped into on Friday too.

cologne4711 · 22/03/2020 16:21

Our local Sainsburys was well stocked this morning - even loo roll and cleaning products. DH said everyone was using small trolleys and shopping sensibly and staff managing everyone really well to keep people apart.

Only shortage product was pasta and he said the tinned food was a bit low.

We can now stay at home for at least a week without needing anything at all. Possibly milk and bread but that's it.

Phifedean123 · 22/03/2020 16:21

I'm in Liverpool and locally to me it's starting to improve. Local newsagents fully stocked but also Co op and home bargains looking better today.

Sparklingbrook · 22/03/2020 16:25

I went to Morrisons (Worcestershire) at about 3pm today and they didn't have loo, roll, pasta, beans etc. But the fruit and veg was very well stocked.

I also got tampons (just the one box mind) in Wilkos Shock

And this was after seeing a nearby Asda completely over whelmed on opening this morning.

Dare we think that the panic might be starting to wane a teeny tiny bit?

RhymingRabbit3 · 22/03/2020 16:28

Definitely improving here. I had an online shop delivered and only a couple of items unavailable (in contrast to 20 substituted or unavailable items last week). I havent been to local shops myself but my Dad said there was loo roll, tinned tomatoes, washing powder etc. in Tesco and the only thing he couldnt get hold of was bread.

lazylinguist · 22/03/2020 16:29

My local Aldi (in a small town) and both my local Booths branches are well stocked. The only things I can't get are paracetamol and flour!
