I am very VEEY much on the scared shirtless side of all of this I’m fed up of people saying it’s scaremongering when I point out why people need to STAY HOME & to taje a look at China & Italy and ask themselves why they think we are any different?! Etc. In fact been arguing in another thread today and been accused of all sorts 🤷🏻♀️
I’d love the schools to be closed. I’d love no teaching staff to have to work.
However, we HAVE to support ‘key workers’ working and I simply don’t have a better solution than the schools 😢 even that’s inadequate for what key workers need.
Those kids have to be cared for while their parents work- it’s not their fault, we can’t line them up on the field 2 m apart from each other for 6 hours.
I don’t see that a few young people coming into the school to do some fun activities with them is going to make much of a difference than them being cooped up in classrooms all day.
It’s not ideal, but nothing about key workers working or their kids needing care or tgus whole ducking CV is fair
But the schools NEED to be very firm about which kids can attend.
Some lazy fuckers are sending their kids in to schools that aren’t checking because ‘they’ll do my head in at home and kids don’t get it bad’. As thick as fucking mince.
Have I missed something that makes you think this a particularly bad idea?!
