Worried about antenatal tests - should I go?

Im currently 25 weeks pregnant and have a barrage of appointments booked in at two local hospitals over the next two weeks. I’m in North London so in the eye of the storm to a large degree. I’ve been carefully staying home with my children for the past week since the pregnant were added to the higher risk group. My tests include a GTT which will take at least 2 hours, a scan, a midwife appointment and a consultant appointment. The reason for the extra appointments is that I’m over 40 and had a big baby last time. I’m otherwise healthy, baby is moving often and had a perfectly normal delivery with my last baby albeit 8 years ago. I’ve not had diabetes with either is my other two pregnancies. Normally I would have absolutely no qualms about having these tests and would find them reassuring but in the current situation it feels like I’m taking a huge risk to my baby by being in a hospital environment repeatedly and for so long. I am the only family member around my 80 year old mum so if I get sick and can’t support her I don’t know who will. I’m also concerned about taking up vital health professionals time. What would you do in my situation? I’m wondering if there are any appointments that are non essential that I should skip or delay. I know I’ll need extra monitoring towards the last few weeks of my pregnancy. Ideally I’d like to have a home birth ( due late June) but realise there may not be the staff to accommodate this.

bump for you as I'm 5 months and wondering the same. No guidance from midwives (in fact they're not replying to any calls or messages, which is alarming)

I would go, yours and babies health is still so important. I know it's a worrying time though. I'm only 12 weeks.

A pregnant friend at a different hospital has been advised to only attend essential appointments, like scans and tests. Her doctor relative has found a gestational diabetes test online to do at home.
I think risk is highest when you are in T3. Im going to attend the next appointment at the GP but only go in when they call me on the phone, and request to keep it to the bare minimum.
