My DH has Coronavirus, he hasn't been tested but we are 90% sure (aggressive cough, roaring temp & climbing the stairs is a challenge) and I'm starting to show slight symptoms. We have been isolated before his symptoms showed up and will continue to isolate but my question is... I can't find much information on how it affects babies? Or just that they don't get it as bad! But does anyone else have any info of the effects on babies? He's showing no symptoms but I'm out my mind with panic :(
Thank you!

Hi,
Please don't panic.
Young babies/ children barely show symptoms, if at all.
The smaller the viral load your baby could potentially receive for you or your DH, the better. Wipe down all surfaces, even the changing mat etc. Avoid kissing your baby. Wash your hands regularly.
Your baby is extremely unlikely to get very unwell.
Have you got Calpol?

Please don't panic, be rigorous with cleaning and hygine as pp said, and if you breastfeed the advice is to continue.
"The symptoms of COVID-19 are similar in children and adults. However, children with confirmed COVID-19 have generally presented with mild symptoms. Reported symptoms in children include cold-like symptoms, such as fever, runny nose, and cough. Vomiting and diarrhea have also been reported. It’s not known yet whether some children may be at higher risk for severe illness, for example, children with underlying medical conditions and special healthcare needs. " from the CDC site (US Centre for disease control)

Thank you both!!! I do have calpol at the ready! he's showing no signs yet but it's only day 5 of CV for DH

If (and it's a big if) he starts showing symptoms, however mild, I'd suggest giving him Calpol straight away. It won't do him any harm and with this virus probably better to treat prophylactially
