Getting non essential but planned work done inside the house - whether to go ahead?

We arranged for our boiler to be replaced together with some work to a bathroom some weeks ago. It’s due to happen in a couple of weeks. Now I am wondering whether it is sensible to go ahead. Our old boiler is working but on its last legs and niggling issues with the current showering/hot water system impact us daily. So not absolutely urgent but definitely top of the house to do list.
The boiler is sited in our integrated garage but the work will also involve moving the existing hot water cylinder and removing tanks from the loft so obviously inside the house. The bathroom work would be 2/3 days on top so approximately a week in total. It is a local independent fitter so obviously self employed. Just himself. There are five of us here. Keeping to the house. Two working from home including two students doing online work.
I am not sure whether to postpone. I would feel bad as this is obviously a scheduled not insignificant job which would impact on him. New bathroom fittings clogging up our space currently and he has obviously ordered the new boiler etc. We are all currently well with no symptoms.
Obviously I am concerned about a week’s proximity with someone else moving about the house. If it was just my husband and me I wouldn’t be so concerned but reminding three teenagers to wash hands and having to constantly clean handles, switches, bannister is driving me batty.
What would others do?

If none of you are in a vulnerable category I would go ahead.

None of us with health issues. Early 50s and three teens.
Work was planned for a time when one would normally be at school, one at uni and two working so would have been just me at home during the day.
Now we are juggling study space for three and have a busy house with everyone at home.

So 50:50 so far!
I am a natural risk avoider so erring on that side but am obviously also conscious that this is the installer’s livelihood.
