I work in an office of 30, not been asked to work from home yet. No one has. Are most people still going in as normal? I have the ability to work from home and am set up on all the correct systems and I just can’t believe we are expected in this week coming.

I’m WFH some days and going in on others on a rota system. I was ok with this as one of us will be in the shop (its a pram/car seat/nursery business so don’t think we’ll have any customers, maybe a few collections) and another person in the office so minimal contact. It’s a small business, I love my job and really want it to survive so happy to help in anyway I can.
But then I just found out that the 19 year old girl who has no kids will be WFH, as will both directors, so there are now only 3 of us Included in this arrangement. I have kids, so does one of my colleagues, she’s also a single mum & asthmatic. Why are we fair game for contact and not the others? It seems very unfair.
Especially as one of the directors posted a #stayhome Facebook profile pic last night. Well I would except you aren’t letting me!!!!

My employer has split the office into two teams. Half in half out then we rotate on a weekly basis. For the moment anyway.

I was in last week. Wfh next week.

We’ve been asked to confirm whether we have capility to wfh. I have a laptop so can connect to the remote server.

Those without laptops or iPads have been told to come into the office on their week and take annual or unpaid leave until a laptop can be found.

Dh’S work have bought 1000 laptops and issued them to all staff.
