What provisions - if any - are being made to care for the people who sleep rough on the city streets?

I read somewhere (maybe the Metro?) that some hotels are offering to house them during this crisis.

Hello, I'm a critical worker as I work for the homeless.

In Wales £10million has been given by the Welsh government to temporarily house rough sleepers in emergency accommodation such as hotels and B&B's

Similar funding and solutions are being rolled out across the UK in England and Scotland and NI.

The homeless are one of societies most vunerable groups. They are more likely to have underlying health conditions and obviously if you a rough sleeping you have no where to isolate. Rough sleeping intervention teams are doing their utmost to educate, guide and look for symptoms in service users.

This is a testing time for all, the homeless included, but we are doing the best we can for them, getting them off the streets and still supporting them with any complex needs they may have.

I think councils are trying to do more but it is diffivult as the homeless often come with drink/drug/mental health issues which basically why they are homeless in the first place.
