Dd sickness and diarrhoea

Dd 20 months. Been off food for three days. Bad stomach for same period. Worse today. Been sick once. Temperature very slightly raised from what is usual.

We are all social distancing as much as possible/closer to self isolation anyway due to parents being elderly and cancer patients and me being pregnant.

None bar DH have left the house. Naturally I believe it would be wise for even DH to do 14 days in with us now, just incase.

But what are the chances it may be? I've read a few articles where something around just under 50% of patients showing these symptoms before the "main" ones or instead of the usual ones.

Waiting on a call back from 111 as we were advised to do so after a telephone call to local pharmacy.

But mainly posting here to help my anxiety regarding it all.

She seems alright in herself, although a little calmer than usual despite odd bursts.

Impossible to tell. Hope she’s ok.

Always been a massive worrier for her when she is ill, this virus has made me more so.

Obviously I'm naturally concerned for her, but also for the impact it could have on my parents.

Really scary times to be in.

It's more likely to be a tummy bug but due to the temperature your DH needs to stay home for 14 days.

Scarycoaster · 21/03/2020 22:13

Temperature doesn't actually register as one technically. But I know from my over religious prodding of her ears since birth it is higher than usual for her. She usually runs quite cool.

Thankfully for now DH is off anyway due to finishing off some extension work to fully isolate my parents from us for their sake.

I did assume a tummy bug, it's just so hard not to be over paranoid.

Will adhere to all 14 day rules just to be safe.

Sooner my parents are properly away from my germy lot the better :( never thought I would say that!

She doesn't have a temperature?

Scarycoaster · 21/03/2020 22:18

Is higher than usual for her, 37.6 which is just off the "official" temperature, but she usually runs around 36.5.

Very clammy and warm to the touch whereas usually only her feet ever get clammy unless she is unwell

This was after calpol. Was 37.7 beforehand. Still slightly under I know, but for her higher than usual

It sounds like a sickness bug but as pp says who knows at this point.

Doesn't seem to be a high temp though?

Scarycoaster · 21/03/2020 22:40

Not high as such no, but higher than usual for her. Me and dd are lizard people by nature and run cold Grin

I hate al this uncertainty and living in fear of absolutely everything.

Constantly worried about my parents catching it and worst case losing them. I'm seeing danger everywhere and very likely connecting dots that aren't there with dd.
