Would you mind a nurses child during this coronavirus?

Yes I would probably

AdriannaP · 21/03/2020 20:37

No

Thehop · 21/03/2020 20:38

Though I work in a nursery and we’ve freed up spaces for key worker children, can he/she find someone like us through the local authority?

mymadworld · 21/03/2020 20:44

I'm a childminder so yes I absolutely would and so should you. If you're not, then you should be directing her to a registered childminder who is probably desperate for work.

my2bundles · 21/03/2020 20:57

I'm not a childminder but have worked in childcare. No I wouldn't because it could be a risk to my own children.

TheTrollFairy · 21/03/2020 21:00

I wouldn’t because I am in a higher risk category but I would be helping them find alternative childcare (I wouldn’t be taking any kids from any of the sectors)

happyandsingle · 21/03/2020 21:10

What about nursery staff that have no choice?

Dracula9 · 21/03/2020 21:48

I have bad asthma and so does my child and a parent with COPD so I'm really unsure

I also have lupus. I'm not sure if I am in the high risk category though. I'm so unsure on what to do.

OP posts:
mymadworld · 21/03/2020 21:49

In that case I'd self isolate.

ChrissieKeller61 · 21/03/2020 21:50

Sadly not, I won’t risk my own family

mymadworld · 21/03/2020 21:51

Are you part of a local cm network you can send a request? There's plenty of cm in my are desperate for work
