Confused about sore throats and runny nose
FullOfCake · 21/03/2020 19:04
I have dry mildly sore throat and a runny nose. Hands up, I haven't drank much liquid or had a lot of sleep in the past 48hours as it's been hectic here. I also do suffer from hay-fever and asthma.
No cough. No fever.
I'm intending to post a card through mum's door tomorrow - not see her. Should I not in case this is the start of something and I can transfer it via a card? Or has paranoia reached a new level in me I'm terrified more of giving it to someone than actually having it myself I think

Being cautious, DM emailed DP a photo of the card she’d bought him, with a message to say she’ll send it next year

I have similar (though now it's a very sore throat and cough); I think at the point where it's a cough or temperature then you need to self isolate.
I'm pretty certain it's nothing (there are many bugs around) but don't want to risk infecting others.

It's difficult isn't it when there are so many other bugs. If in doubt isolate fully I guess. I think for the timescales we are looking at we will be in and out of full isolation whenever we get a cold
