Nobody wanted this current situation but if we’re to be stuck at home for the foreseeable future what do you plan to do with that time?

I plan to clean & declutter the house, exercise and lose weight, organise all my papers and files, up my self care routine (currently I don’t have one) read more and take some online classes.

Anyone else have plans?

Working and ensuring 2 teens work. My work has gone busy on the back of this. But I am grateful to have a job and to not be on the frontline.

As well as all the other stuff.

I think my relatives are under the impression I'm on holiday and can watch TV and phone calls all day.
I did two days last week and it was v. stressful.

Go through all my kids old stuff, clothes that no longer fit, toys they don't play with etc, clear out the garage, the garden needs a lot doing to it and finally we have the time to do it, planting and baking with the kids, watch all the box sets I've been gifted over the years...

StinkyWizzleteets · 21/03/2020 19:37

I’ve so many things I’d love to be doing but with kids who don’t give me time to pee alone there’s no chance of getting anything done. Also feel pants which makes it harder

mimbleandlittlemy · 21/03/2020 19:59

Oooh Greendin, I hadn’t thought of doing ds’s clothes cupboard. That’s added to the list. And I will sort out my mum’s clothes too - she lives with us and I haven’t had a go through for a while.

Strike through never works on my iPad.

bengalcat · 21/03/2020 20:03

Still working but have a week off this week ( although ski holiday cancelled obvs ) - have said I can go in if needed but otherwise having fun walking dog , decluttering , cooking , kid back from uni and as weather is ok will get out in the garden

Working my fucking tits off, with 2 kids around. My normal job description has been binned and I've now got a role coordinating and enabling community response across at least 4 counties (voluntary sector). My second job (secondary school teaching) continues online.

I wanted to teach myself to sew. Decorate the kids' rooms.

I'm happy to be useful and I can do both from home, but finding it strange to suddenly be a key worker.

SeaViewBliss · 21/03/2020 20:12

I’m wfh mostly but in my down time I am also staying in as much as I can. Today I signed up with OU and am doing some of their free courses.

Tomorrow, DH and I are going to start a jigsaw puzzle that honestly, we’ve had for about 10 years! It’s the Sargent Peppers album cover. We know how to live!

LoveSummerLife · 21/03/2020 20:15

I’m now a temporary teacher to 3 children in different year groups so that’s a good part of my day taken, I’ve also got to study for my accountancy qualification that’s now gone online and I’d like to get round to all those jobs around the house that I never get round to.

eeyore228 · 21/03/2020 20:16

We've signed up for a sign language course! We have a propagator to grow some veg (if I don't overwater etc) and have a diary to record growth.

LoveSummerLife · 21/03/2020 20:17

Hopefully not having to BE anywhere will let me get into a good routine of exercise/yoga daily, I’ve been slipping lately and I really want to read more.

BeetrootRocks · 21/03/2020 20:20

Lucky enough to be able to WFH so working.

Kids are older year 6 and 8 so don't need much entertaining but I'm s bit worried about them getting enough exercise.

AgentCooper · 21/03/2020 20:22

If this had happened a few years ago, I would have done loads of knitting, exercised every day, worked on improving my Spanish.

But with a feral 2 year old in the house that shit ain’t gonna happen Grin

greytminds · 21/03/2020 20:23

If I didn’t have to work with a two year old in the background I would be soooo productive! I love a bit of sorting and decluttering.
As it goes, we will just be aiming for survival, and the house not being a total tip!

RaininSummer · 21/03/2020 20:26

Will be home more but working mainly. Only gained time will be that normally spent visiting family at weekend and will use that to walk the dog else I wont get any fresh air.
