Entertaining toddler with newborn

Almost 3yr old and newborn at home.
We usually keep very busy with classes soft play etc
Being at home has made me realise how shit i am at just playing. All aspects of it. Bad at imaginative play (feels really forced) not any space to run around, more time consuming or messy activities harder to do as newborn very fussy and always seems to need a boob or holding or something else!
My toddler is very bright and I'm worried she will pick up that I'm shit at playing. I'm feeling like a really crap mum at the moment
Is anyone similar? What do you do?

Even peek a boo is playing for a 3 year old. Sling for newborn? Reading/ TV/ blow bubbles/ ask 3 year old to dance for music/ get a bag with objects in ask them to name the objects and pull them out one at a time. Colouring. Play dough.

Just wanted to say I’m in a similar position and share your worries. My dd was in nursery 3 days and the other two we always spent out doing activities, soft play, park etc. The thought of a v long period with limited things to do makes me cry. Try joe wicks kids work outs on you tube to keep her active and order a load of craft stuff? Keeps my dd occupied for a while. It’s going to be hard though.!

SNAP!
Iv a 3yo 4yo and NB !!
We're finding colouring , painting, playdoh, good things atm. The imaginative play I'm fairly shit at too but I try an they will either tell me to go away an play together or say mummy you can be this "il end up being something in the corner haha"
But atm we're obsessed with cooking and baking - resorted are becoming limited though, and singing and dancing is a good one. Also keeps the NB entertained watching us all dance like doughnuts lol we just make do in a shit situation. We're usually out from 9 am until 4ish going the park. Centres. Soft plays. We're cracking up xx

I've bought DD (3) some wipe clean letter and number writing books which are keeping her entertained for a good 20 mins at a time (and educational - win win).

I also let her play her kindle for a half hour when I need a break.

When she was a baby and I had my eldest (who was 3 at the time) home with me I set up a sand pit with kinetic sand that used to amuse him for short periods (although I do mean short - he is 6 now and still can't do one thing for more than 10 mins)!.

Oh also try Cosmic Kids Yoga on you tube - DD does the Frozen one all the time and it lasts a while. There are loads of kid themed ones.
