Cleaner?

Will you still have your cleaner come as usual? I'm thinking of texting her to say don't come but I will still pay her.. thoughts?

With a newborn in the house, I'm struggling to keep on top of the cleaning but equally I'm a bit paranoid about catching something,.

Bump for you as I'd like to ask the same thing!

I don't think we will be able to pay her indefinitely if she doesn't come in, but I was thinking half pay for the next couple of months.

Yes our cleaner is fairly new to us but she's good and I would like to keep her

Just nervous if she is ill 😷 I know she goes to the church a lot

You could say to her don't come in if you feel ill, though I'll still pay you. But of course she could be contagious before she realises she's ill. It's a tricky one, I hope we get some good replies.

We are SI due to me and DD having some symptoms, very mild but taking no risks. Have obviously told the cleaner not to come for 2 weeks but we will pay her. After that she can come back I suppose?

SallyWD · 21/03/2020 14:04

We have 2 cleaners that come from an agency. I was going yo let the agency make that decision. So far they've still been coming but if they decide to cancel for the next few months that's fine.

Being high risk I've asked mine not to come - they must visit 40-50 properties a week. This virus can live on surfaces for days. So the concern is they could pick it up from a surface, and accidently brush their face and get it - ie even with excellent hygiene.
Wll pay them until the end of the month and possibly beyond - a half fee at least to retain my slot.

Personally, I think it is an unnecessary risk - depending on your circumstances, of course.
Your exposure is increased with everyone you have contact with, though, I appreciate you're unlikely to be cuddling your cleaner😁
Whose house has she been in before she came to you?

Who else has been in those houses before she went in?

Has she travelled on the bus to get to you or before she came to you?

Who does she live with and who have they been in contact with?etc etc
