My friend who lives around the corner is a key worker, and although her daughter has been classes as low risk, everytime she's gone to nursery she's ended up with chest infections, and needed inhalers and antibiotics. I've helped her out where possible by looking after her DD along with my DS so she can work, when her DD has been mostly better but not quite well enough to go back to nursery.
Obviously her DD can go at the moment, but she's reluctant to do that unless there's no other option because of the recurring chest problems there. Neither me nor DS are in a high risk category. I've already been socially distancing for the last two weeks, and plan to self isolate for another two (my friend is currently self isolating atm).
Would I be stupid to offer to look after friends DD after the two weeks are up, barring any symptoms cropping up, thinking her daughter will be less at risk with me and DS? I can remain socially distant from most people, as have a fairly decent garden for the kids to get some fresh air, and plenty of toys, arts and crafts, etc to keep us all occupied.
