Yes you can.

MonkeyToesOfDoom · 21/03/2020 07:37

I think the advice is generally the you can go out, but stick to the members of your househokd. No visiting friends, no gatherings of kids etc.
Keep 2meteres, 6.5foot, the length of a single bed, between everyone.

Yes you can the government have been pretty clear go and read the official websites.

isabellerossignol · 21/03/2020 07:38

The advice is that if you are social distancing, going outside for exercise is OK if you keep your distance.

But if you or anyone in your house has symptoms then no, you can't even do that.

IceKitten · 21/03/2020 07:39

I wouldn't go to a playground, but if you live near an empty space then it's ok to go out if you don't go near anyone.

Events are moving so quickly now but here's a summary of the current advice.

Be aware, though, that things could change rapidity.

FlibbertyGiblets · 21/03/2020 07:44

Not a park with equipment. Open gates with caution. If people-y already, find another.

TedsFederationRep · 21/03/2020 07:44

Actually, scrub that - sorry. That's the day-before-yesterday's advice, as far as the red column is concerned. That's how quickly things are changing.

Only the green column is unchanged.

For the moment.

Bunnylady54 · 21/03/2020 07:44

Someone said that maybe parks aren’t such a good idea as it wouldn’t be advisable to touch the play equipment.
I’m finding it hard to explain to DD11 what we can & can’t do. For example, she saw on the news about avoiding gatherings over 500 people ( although obviously things have changed a lot since then) so she’s wanting to go & spend her pocket money at the charity shop as there won’t be many people there. Also naturally she hates not being able to see her friends. We are going to try to organise a beach trip but I worry that the girls won’t keep their distance from each other.

MangoM · 21/03/2020 07:53

You should avoid the playground as the equipment are high touch areas and easy to pass on / pick up the virus.

Going out for a walk or exercise is fine as long as you don't go near anyone outside of your own household.

This is one of my concerns. Millions of parents organising beach trips whilst the kids are off. Kids won't stay 6ft+ apart, people won't either. Arcades, buckets and spades, sharing cars, buses, trains and trams. They'll all become a hot bed of virus spreading if the sun comes out.

See Bondi Beach. That's why they had to close it.
