Package for neighbour- how to pack it safely?

I have an elderly neighbour who doesn’t have any family close by. She was walking home today with a Tesco bag, she doesn’t drive and her children live on the coast. I am guessing she is doing small shops but, like everywhere else, our small Tesco is ransacked. I have enough food to put together a care package for her, but I have a crippling fear that I might contaminate it. Ideally I want her to be able to self isolate for a couple of weeks and then I can get her more stuff.

Should I wipe the food package down with antibacterial? None of us are sick but I have two small kids, I really don’t want her to catch anything from the surfaces.. any ideas? Or am I been a bit dramatic?

Are you/any of your household exhibiting symptoms?

If not, I don’t think she’s necessarily at an increased risk because items in a shop will certainly have been handled by many, many strangers regardless of you touching them too.

I mean you can wipe the items down, but I think it would be safer if she did it herself too.
