Should key workers be sending children to stay with NRP?

So obviously this is only relevant to some families but it's relevant to mine and we're unsure what to do.

I've seen a lot of threads where children are being stopped seeing their NRP during this time however, if RP is a key worker (NHS) and NRP is not and working from home, would you send the kids to stay with them instead as horrible as it would be for you?

Depends. If you are front line health worker working directly with cv patients and nrp isn't then yes I would send them away. You hear of drs and nurses working 12 hr shifts in Italy then sleeping in the hospital, refusing to go home, because they dont want to risk taking the virus home to their family.

If your job is more dwp call centre (also classed on that list as keyworker) then it's a totally different matter. You have to do what is best for your dc.

Oh I see you are nhs, again depends on the role. Many nhs workers wont have direct access to patients (admin, 111 etc) so no I dont know why you should send them away. ICU staff? I'd make the sacrifice tbh

Me33, that is awful. Fortunately our situation isn't like that, he's a good dad and the kids would be safe and looked after with him.

I'm in no means suggesting RP keyworkers should be forced to do this by the way. Especially considering some NRPs should not be in charge of kids full time, abusive, controlling etc.

We've been thinking the same thing. Not sure what to do.
