Is this reasonable to ask of DH - isolation

My DH works in labour/maintenance with FIL. He didn’t go into work yesterday as FIL was feeling unwell, coughing etc. Apparently he felt better last night after a few beersHmm. I’ve told DH to take a bag of things with him to work today so he can stay at PILs for at least 2 weeks. I’m 35 weeks pregnant and don’t drive so it’s not ideal me being by myself as can’t get any food delivery slots but don’t want to risk the health of my baby. I’m quite sad that I’ll be alone and DH will potentially miss the birth of our baby as he wasn’t present at the first one. I think FIL is being incredibly selfish considering he will be going into unsuspecting people’s homes but that’s another thread!

AIBU to basically not allow DH back in the house once he has been around FIL? They will be sharing a car, tools and potentially drinks so he will catch it if FIL has the virus

Anyone? Not looking forward to the potential argument about it when DH wakes up and crying at the thought of being completely alone when I could be giving birthSad why does FIL have to be such a selfish twit

YANBU. The health of your unborn baby is more impotent.

I think you are right. They need to living together, working together. Away from you! Although it will be difficult to be alone? Can anyone help you with food, etc?

Impotent= important Blush

Thank you! Felt like I was going a bit crazyBlush My family can help a every other day or two but they’re busy kindly looking after my DD for me as she’s recently been in pre-school and that’s another risk (my parents are late 40s). So not only do I have to cope being away from DD but also DH now because of FIL’s selfish thinking. Their work really isn’t essential - decorating jobs, gardening etc. DH and I have enough money to last us a month or two so him having time off won’t affect us too much, especially with my family helping out. He’s just preying to FILs every beck and call really when he should be saying ‘no FIL, since you’ve been displaying symptoms I’ve decided to stay at home to protect my wife and unborn child’. I have asthma as well. Men are arses sometimesHmm
