Is there any advice if you live with elderly parents that have ' underlying medical conditions'

Do we ( partner and dd)all live upstairs? We share a bathroom and a kitchen.

Has anyone seem any advice for how this could work?

You need to go into lockdown with them, or move out. You simply cannot be sure you won't pick it up and pass it on. You can distance socially, but you'd need to be so ridiculously thorough on what you touch, hand washing, equipment cleaning etc it's impossible to remove the risk.

agree.
strict isolation for everybody in that house.
food brought by others, left outside. wipe down all packaging.
good luck. take no chances.

I am a teacher and will have to go to work probably on a rota to look after key workers.

They need to be in separate part of house. Clean down anything that you pass to them. They need separate loo. It's going to be challenging.

You cannot handle their plates and cutlery before they eat. Not sure how you would manage all this.

We only have one toilet.

This is so stressful

Even teachers are excused if they live with the elderly and/or vulnerable. Honestly... the only way is to lock down the whole household. Sorry, I know it's stressful

Myself & ds are staying with my mum as she needs help with shopping etc, we both spend the majority of the day in our own rooms & eat meals spread around downstairs at least 3 metres apart. We all wash our own pots etc & then return to our rooms.

I'm in this situation too but we have a separate bathroom and kitchen. I have to look after the elderly person so we are self isolating along with them. I think we can only do what we can do. Your employer should allow you to be self isolating.
