Is it worth applying for the supermarket job?

Just read on these threads that we're 2 weeks behind Italy.
I live at home, 24 year old female.
My 49 yr old dad has quite bad asthma and my disabled sister (physical disability) is home from school (she's 10). My mum also lives at home and my 11 year old sister.

I was applying for jobs as im a supply teacher and obviously no work for god knows how long,
I have a couple of thousand saved,
Im worried we'll be in an Italy type scenario in a couple of weeks and i'll be putting my dad and sister at risk by working in a supermarket.
Should i apply or wait it out for now?

If your only option for accommodation is sharing with your vulnerable family members then no, putting yourself out there is not a good idea. You probably wouldn't get ill yourself as you are young and healthy, but would almost certainly carry germs home and infect your family members.

If you can find a way to live alone, or partition off part of the house to be a bed-sit for you where you don't have to interact with the others or be in the same room as them, then you could.

I am not sure it is worth it.

My DD is working in a big chain supermarket and it terrifies me how at risk this puts her with the amount of exposure she has to people and things they've touched. Her workplace is not providing any antibacterial gel or anything to protect the staff and she barely has time to apply it anyway. Her BF is a police officer so I'm almost resigned to this disease being brought into the house one way or another. I have an 83 yo mother who I help care for (not living with us) and my husband had cancer last year and has diabetes so it could have a devastating affect if introduced to our household.
