Today I heard that my lovely friend has had to bring her wedding forward from April to tomorrow. It means she can only have 5 people (including bride, groom and vicar) present and no reception for 150-200 people as planned. She also had no wedding dress. She is obviously gutted, but really wants to get married this year.
I tentatively suggested she could try my dress on. When she wasn’t completely appalled at the idea, I drove over to my parents and fished it out of the loft. I then drove back for her to try it on. All of this was done while feeling completely bonkers and maintaining a safe distance from my parents and friend!
Amazingly, it fits pretty beautifully. I’m feeling ever so slightly lifted.
