Is it unreasonable to knock on your 80 yr old neighbour’s door to borrow something?

Dear God yes! This is a reverse though right?

IllustriousToad · 19/03/2020 15:17

Yes! If you have their phone number you could call instead? I wouldn't even want to put a note through the door in case there was a chance of infection...

Nicecupofcoco · 19/03/2020 15:18

Yes very unreasonable to! Can you manage without?

Honeyroar · 19/03/2020 15:22

Yes it’s a reverse. My neighbour has been off work all week isolating and I’ve just walked past my dad’s and he’s walking away saying thanks, I’ll bring it back later! Got a bit offended when I said he shouldn’t be borrowing anything/knocking if we’re isolating. Said it was ok cos he is in isolation too and hasn’t touched my dad. Made me feel bad for saying anything.

Most definitely.

Where is your common sense?

Selfsettling3 · 19/03/2020 15:24

Unless you want them to die? Do you?

TheWalkingTalkingRed · 19/03/2020 15:25

Don't feel bad for calling him out on it at all, people just aren't taking this seriously enough.

ChardonnaysPetDragon · 19/03/2020 15:46

I bloody fucking hate reverse threads.

I want to see posters banned to oblivion fir using them.,

Honeyroar · 19/03/2020 15:54

Oh bugger off Chardonnay. It’s a perfectly normal question anyway.

OP posts:
goingoverground · 19/03/2020 15:56

It's not really a reverse though, is it? It's more of a hypothetical question. The OP isn't pretending she did it or is thinking of doing it.

puds11 · 19/03/2020 15:56

Grin @ChardonnaysPetDragon don’t loose sight of the real issues

CoffeeRunner · 19/03/2020 15:59

So the neighbour feels his cough and/or symptoms is severe enough to self isolate? Yet not severe enough to be a risk to his elderly neighbour?

Someone is a little hard of thinking there!

ChardonnaysPetDragon · 19/03/2020 16:40

how is that even a perfectly normal question?

What part of isolation is unclear?

Honeyroar · 19/03/2020 20:23

Apparently it was unclear to our neighbour!
