Has anyone got a parent moving in with them for a while?

My mum is 67, healthy but lives on her own 3 hours away from me. No immediate family nearby but a strong support network (church)
I’ve asked her to consider coming to stay with us for a while (by the looks of things possibly a few months!) which she is thinking about.
Has anyone else got a parent/other relative coming to stay to see this out? I know we’ll drive each other bonkers if she agrees but I can’t bare the thought of her being unwell and on her own.

I was wondering about this. My mum is in a very similar position to yours. However we are a high risk family to be in contact with as DH is a doctor. So she’s probably safer where she is, unless DH goes to live elsewhere but I don’t know how we could make that work.

I've been thinking about asking my mum to come and stay with us. She's 68, fit and healthy, but on her own. She's still volunteering at Age UK, which I've asked her to reconsider.

It's just me and my son at home, we're both well at the moment. We were planning to see her on Sunday for Mother's Day, but now I'm thinking it might be better for her to move in with us.

We will struggle to a certain extent as I live in a 2 bed bungalow, but I'm concerned about her MH if she's stuck at home on her own for weeks.
