Will there still be deliveries/couriers/takeaway services provided during lockdown?

Probably a silly question but just trying to work out how severely limited we will be? It’s DD’s birthday in April and I’m trying to get everything ordered now but just wondering if deliveries will stop in the next few weeks.

Already in a country on lockdown: Not all restaurants/takeaways will continue deliveries. Many will have to lay off staff to save money (and the business), they may not find it profitable enough to stay open, they may lose staff to quarantine or illness.

Deliveries depend on enough pickers/packers/drivers and the waiting times depend on demand, not to mention supply of goods. Plenty will still be available but it's possible it will take longer or eventually fizzle out.

A birthday party under lockdown means no guests, sadly.

Royal mail are expecting 1-2 days delay on post due to staff shortage, which seems sensible and will probably apply to couriers also but they are considered essential so are not going to stop entirely

Supermarket deliveries will keep going but have limited availability

even if you don't get lockdown though, it's really not wise to have any guests for a party especially in April with the risk increasing significantly daily now til end of June (going by the graphs)
