My DDIL will be working from home and 3 year old DGD will be off nursery next week. Have come up with the idea, when DDIL needs to take calls or cant be distracted , to facetime DGD.
I'm going to set up laptop to do it. She has a tablet.
Have thought if reading books that I have here for her and singing.
What else could I do to keep her entertained?

At that age we used to play the ‘animal’ game to try and tire elder DD out. “Can you be a frog/ kangaroo?” etc to get them moving and then bring the energy levels down at the end with things like stalking tiger and sloth etc.

We are teeming up teen dd with a retired language teacher so she can practice during the school closures.

Have a wonderful time, Op. Let us know how it goes 😊

Not sure if it would be too disruptive for your DIL but what about a scavenger hunt? You can give her an item to find. Like a blue teddy or a green book etc and she goes and finds it and then she can tell you something to find?

Surely the whole point is to keep the child in one place, not send them wandering around the house?
