Are key workers with underlying conditions doing the 12 week social distancing?

A lot of staff in our school are, which is what has lead to the closures. TBH I doubt we can even deliver the reduced service being asked of us (high percentage of vulnerable children)
I wondered if this is having the same effect on NHS staff etc?

At work (nhs) they are meant to have a risk assessment and not deal with know or possible covid patients i.e people with classic symptoms but as 40% may be asymptomatic snd still infectious 🤷♀️. Hope they ramp up testing ASAP.
Over 70s not meant to work at all.
DoubleAction · 18/03/2020 22:03
But they're still at work Lucked? Just not in high risk situations?
Is that by direction or personal choice?
Lucked · 18/03/2020 23:33
The directive was only over 70s not to work, I think everyone else was a risk assessment. Obviously if possible work from home or redeploy to a safer area but not always not possible with specialist clinical jobs.
I am not yet aware of anyone in any of the other groups in my department who isn’t working but it may change by Monday as no time for risk assessments to be completed as advice only coming through now and people have been told to work until clearer advice. Lots of pregnant, asthmatic and diabetic staff so we shall see.
