Medical questions re covid, any doctors or nurses here?

I've got a few very basic medical questions which I haven't been able to find easy answers to online so I'd love some proper medical views please.

  1. if you get a dry cough will steam inhalation help, or make it worse?
  2. is there anything to the suggestion I've seen of gargling with salt water to slow the virus down if you start getting throat symptoms?
  3. is hydration really important for this virus? If so, should we be trying to stay super hydrated in advance of getting it? Or only making an effort to stay hydrated if we do get it? Will things like hydration drinks be helpful if ill?
  4. if I get covid but don't feel too awful should I avoid paracetamol etc to bring my temperature down? Is my body being hot a good way to fight this? Same for my kids - can I just give them cuddles and lollies rather than reach for calpol?
  5. if I have had covid, will antibodies be present in my breastmilk? Will they therefore be medicine for my children or any vulnerable elderly relatives I have? Is there any reason not to give eg my ill mum a bm drink if she's willing?

I think this is all for now

Huge thanks in advance
