Nursery fees during closure

If it is announced that England's childcare facilities will close on Friday....will we still nee to pay nursery fees?

Would like to have that money in my pocket, but will pay if I have to. Also worried that if things go tits up, that money could come in handy.

Saying all of that, if we don't pay, nurseries may not be able to reopen when all of this is over.

Is there any guidance on this? or what are your thoughts? Part of me just thinks I should just pay. My payment date is Friday.

My sister owns a private school and a nursery. She said if the parents don’t pay she will not open when this is done. If u want ur place at nursery and you have the money I suggest you pay or u will be looking for a new nursery / school when this has done.
As long as I’m getting paid I will be paying all my normal oeople

Thanks. I think this is the right thing to do, just worried that's all.

Yeah @ohwerehalfwaythere you are right. I suspect that they will announce the same for England too at some point this week.

Got my answer today. Unless you are a key worker parent you will not have to pay for the days your child is not in nursery but will need to pay for the month of March as you usually would but not after this date.

Nursery manager was in a bit of strop when I asked her, so I imagine she has been getting the same question all day.

I think the strop can be forgiven. She might be losing her job soon.

Yeah i totally understand she is probably under a lot of stress and worry so I just accepted the strop, didnt want to seem pushy but thought it was important to get an answer.
