Employers are Telling Us Business as Usual

Anyone else's employers just not really seem arsed about the current situation.

My employers had a meeting yesterday, the upshot was.... absolutely nothing!!

They are not putting any WFH contingency plans in place (despite it being a relatively easy thing to set up) and as far as they are concerned its business as usual. Seems a bit silly to me, but having opinions is clearly way above my paygrade!

What measures have other peoples employers put into place? Or are there lots of employers acting like mine?

We've put contingency plans in place but can't afford to pay anything more than SSP for corona or self isolation (or any other illness of course)

So anyone advised to self isolate for 12 weeks due to age/vulnerable condition/pregnancy will be unpaid.

Not my decision, but I can see that if there isn't the money, we cannot pay it.

Sorry - meant to say anyone advised to socially distance for 12 weeks not self isolate. The government have not advised self isolation for 12 weeks for those in the vulnerable groups at this point.

DH’s company, a nationwide dairy and cheese producer, is taking it very seriously, all office staff to wfh, hand washing before and after using the toilets as there are sinks on the factory floor already, they’ve ordered thermometers to test everyone arriving at work.
DH is engineering and is ready to live onsite for a week at a time on a rota with a few others, they have their own loo and shower and office/workshop. He works 12 hour shifts any way so some weeks I barely see him.
