Are you still taking your toddlers out?

I have a 3 and a 1 year old. We've cancelled all indoor activities and all play dates, so obviously we're already going mad being stuck in the house.

I took the Dc for a bike ride to the little local park this morning. It was empty as usual (always is) except for a couple of dog walkers. We all stayed far away from each other. There are a couple of bits of play equipment - swings and slide - which I let the dc use. We washed our hands when we got home.

Do you think it's ok to continue to do this? Obviously we would stop if we are unwell.

Apparently national trust places are offering free entry. I am going to take mine there as think schools will be closed from Friday here.

We normally do toddler gymnastics and playgroup, plus weekly visits to a farm and swimming. My 18mo is bored out of her tiny mind, so we're still doing daily walks and the occasional play park. I might start taking antibac wipes to the park with me though and wipe down the swing/slide before and after she uses them..

Oh thank god! If we can't get out at all, I think I might lose it. I definitely felt an atmosphere while out this morning. No one was greeting each each other and people were crossing the road to avoid the kids. It's really sad, but obviously it's necessary.

Good idea about the anti bac wipes, might start doing that
