I'm off work this week but due to be wfh next week, as DH is already.
We have a 2.5 year old who is usually in nursery or with grandparents when I'm at work (three days).
I am pregnant and the pregnancy will be high risk, but it's only early days. Work know as I've been off with bad sickness.
Grandparents now distancing and we've pulled toddler out of nursery due to pregnancy concerns. How do I broach this with work? My job is high demand and unless I allow her 8 hours of screen time I can't see how we'll cope...
Actually hoping for full lockdown so schools/nurseries are officially shut!

First day WFH with kids for me today. Having to isolate due to symptoms (although could well not be corona). 9.30am I thought how am I going to cope.

My only hope so far is to plan my days and incorporate them into work.
Set them morning activities and work set from the school.
Ring fence a half hour walk through the woods near our house.
Afternoon activities/work/play whilst I crack on with work.

Spreading my hours out so if I give up trying to do both one afternoon I can set aside some work for the evening when they are in bed.

Good luck.

I have older children now but when they were younger & I needed to WFH I split the day as best as I could - screen time for a couple of hours in the morning & work then over lunch for a couple of hours give the child focus painting or something. Then screen time whilst I worked a bit then again switched back to child. Once they in bed made up my hours.
If your husband also WFH then you share this between you?

My DD 17 gets good grades - so a bit of screen time hasn’t done any long term damage! :)
