The NHS 'clarifies' as repeated which is no help.

My 6 yo has had a less than hourly cough for 3 days. No temp and not bothering her at night.

Was sent home early and I assumed new cough = off for 14 days (with 2yo and supposedly WFH) but guidance clear as mud

so quarantine for 14 days = YANBU
overreacting send her in = YABU

Yes, that’s what I was thinking, Cat. I think the advice needs to be much clearer. No harm in taking time off work or school for things you might previously have tried to soldier on with. But perfectly healthy people self isolating to prevent others catching something they definitely haven’t got seems pointless.

Argh! I’m in the same boat. DD has had a snotty nose for a few days, and has now woken up with a cough, sore throat and hoarse voice. She’s coughed about 3 times since she woke up an hour ago. It’s just a cold, isn’t it? But if I keep her home from school, do I send DS in?
