Officially self-isolating...

I'm a secondary school teacher. DH is a self employed children's author (former primary teacher). He has had a number of primary school visits cancelled due to restrictions on outside visitors. He has been ill and has developed a slight fever and a cough today. He isnt able to finish a sentence without coughing. Last week he was in London doing author stuff. So, we are now self isolating with our two young dds. Dd8 has an autoimmune issue (HSP) and dd2 is on the waiting list for an adiltonsilectomy because she has chronic tonsillitis. I feel so guilty and stressed at the thought of missing work. I don't know what to do. Obviously, I need to stay away, but it is so crap right now at school - it is weird and scary and anxious. My colleagues will have to cover me.

Your colleagues will just have to manage. You’re following government guidelines. It’s not your choice. If you’re feeling MASSIVELY guilty, can you do some of the planning for the shut school packs?

I already did all of that. I've got my camera so that I can video record my yr 11 lessons. I've set cover. It just sucks! I'm scared too. The whole thing is surreal.
