Driving lessons

After the advice to avoid non-essential social contact, I contacted my instructor to put my driving lessons on hold. I just felt that it was an unnecessary risk, and I'm not sure if I'll even be able to sit my test in April/May.

However, my instructor replied with a rather desperate message saying that he has "hand stuff" for the wheel and that as only 2 or 3 other people will be in the car in a day it's no worse than going to Tesco...

Did I overreact? WWYD? I feel really guilty as I know it's his livelihood.

Please don't have a go at me either way, feeling anxious and trying to do the right thing.

It depends on your personal circumstances I think. Are you in an at risk category? Would continuing lessons cause anxiety for you?

Funnily enough I was just thinking about this. I have cancelled my piano lessons atm as it's such close contact.

You are absolutely doing the right thing and what is advised.

No, I'm not in at risk category and nor is anyone in my household, although other family members are. I just feel anxious and also I don't really want to do one or two more lessons and then have to stop - I'm not far from being test ready so would rather wait until I can hopefully have several in a row again!

Yes it's the close contact for two hours which is worrying.
