Just wondering if due to the current situation online deliveries will still go on during any potential lockdown?

Amazon Prime Now has no slots for the next two days

Items I checked were up to a week away which isn't what I'm used to or paying for but I can live with it, if I can't go to shops and buy what I need or get it delived it will be dificult (first world problems obvs)!

They still need people to pick and deliver so I think there may be problems in the weeks to come. Mind you our Tesco doesn't have delivery slots until April 9th.

We are under the 14 day isolation period. Started yesterday. The earliest slot available for click & collect from supermarkets in my area was the 27 March. I won't be collecting it, a friend is going to get it for me. No online delivery's were available for three weeks at any of supermarkets.

I think it’s inevitable. Aside from the increased demand, food suppliers, lorry drivers, supermarket staff and delivery drivers are just as likely to get ill, or need to self confine, as everyone else.

There are no slots for sainsburys for the next 3 weeks here. I've got one for tomorrow that I booked 2 weeks ago - kind of by accident, I'm not always so organised. Probably won't get half of it, but I've used it to get wineWine

If you're talking food yes they will no doubt about it. The supply of food and general merchandise in stores is very limited they can not magically find it for home delivery. This includes Warehouse to home food shopping.

Amazon Hermes etc? If you think about the drivers conditions? It's likely to get effected after all delivering stuff to hundreds of houses a day? Hardly social isolation

I saw an article on Facebook that Morrisons are employing more staff and drivers to help with demand

I read that John Lewis staff had been redeployed into Waitrose.

Also wondering whether supermarkets/deliveries will recruit more for short term maybe providing some jobs to those who have just lost theirs?
