Self isolating, hyperemesis, and a toddler.

Pregnant women are to self isolate for 12 weeks... I live in a tiny cottage, have a toddler, and feel like I’m dying due to the nausea and vomiting as it is. I was just about managing to get out and about and distract myself from how truly awful I feel (punctuated with puking) and now I’ll be confined to the house, garden, or carefully planned walks. My poor child is going to watch so much Duggee and I’m going to lose my mind! It’s not like I can even send him to nursery now, is it? Otherwise there is literally no point in self isolating. It’s ridiculous that DH is still going to have to go to work, but at least he’s an adult who can take appropriate precautions. Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaargh.

Sorry, just a ‘woe is me’ rant.

Sending sympathy. I'm pregnant and self isolating too, with my toddler. Feeling stressed enough about it as it is without nausea and vomiting to contend with, poor you 😢

The situation is totally shit.

We knew this was happening, yet it was business as usual. My neighbour went to a Christening on Sunday, attended by people who'd flown in from two badly hit countries in Europe. One set of people now can't get home. Things should have shut down sooner.

I should self isolate, but my DD relies on me for childcare. My youngest GC, similar age to yours wouldn't cope with not going to Nursery and being out.

Don't worry about overwatching television. Thankfully my GC like Masha and the bear, whose soundtrack is bearable. Goodluck!

My DS won’t cope not being out and about either. He’s very sociable and energetic. I’m hoping my parents might still take him a couple of times per week (they are not in an at risk group).
