Preparing for schools to close - useful resource

Hi guys

I'm a mama to three primary school kids, and our school is still open, but I want to get prepared for when they do eventually close. So I'm compiling a list of online educational websites/ apps/ resources that might be useful for other parents.

The ones I know and have used are: www.theschoolrun.com/, twinkl.co.uk and www.purplemash.com/.

Do you lovely ones have any to add?

Thanks so much

Twinkl have very kindly offered a month of free access to parents and carers.
I pay for it anyway (helpful in my job!!) but it’s handy for downloading all sorts.
Our school are putting together very simple packs of spellings, reading lists and a brief overview of our next topics so that in the event of closures parents have some direction at least as to what would have been coming up in the curriculum.
Basically, reading, spellings and times tables (we use a website and each child has a password so they are expected to log on at home weekly anyway and complete times tables activities) are the core and minimum expectations at all times.
As to specifically what else we will ask for is a bit unknown at the moment but Twinkl is a great website for lots of curriculum based work.

Mr P ICT who is very well known in the teaching community has compiled a comprehensive list of websites that could be useful to parents and teachers.

Gin Gin and lots of it!

I'm a TA and I'd rather be self-isolated with my class of 30 than my DSs Grin

I found this massive resource list for all types of students and teachers too. I think you might wanna check it out. My daughter eventually learned how to read after getting through a couple of resources from there. You might wanna check it out.
