Do you think it’s fine to attend a stag do this weekend?

Just that - do you think stag / hen dos should be avoided at the moment? I have a stag do this weekend and don’t know whether or not to cancel. It’s in a city in the UK.

I understand that not everyone can work from home. But everyone can avoid additional social gatherings, like stag/hen dos. They are completely voluntary.

In Austria they're discouraging/banning ALL gatherings of more than 5 people. Sensible imo.

In France. We’re expecting a month long curfew to be announce tonight.
If I were you, I’d be spending the weekend prepping.

Funny how we have to cancel our fun plans but it's totally fine to get on the packed train to work every day and sit on top of each other in the office!

No none of that is ideal. I hope the Government forces people into lockdown like in most other countries.

No. Everybody just needs to stop moving around as much as possible and to avoid gatherings as much as possible.

No, we're all trying to avoid going into the office, avoid taking the train especially at rush hour, I'm trying to work from home as much as possible

My work have just emailed us and told us to continue coming in to work as normal. I work at a university.

I dont understand this post at all- this isn't an oneupmanship about who has it worse. There are plenty of ppl with out jobs who would love to be in your position.

Eh? What are you talking about? I was responding to a post about how 'we' are all working from home. Plenty of people are not.

Sorry I don't think you should and there are so many reasons:
you may get sick
You may pass it on to someone else.
Your behaviour may give others the encouragement to do the same.

The NHS and health services can not cope with what they have at the moment. They need the public to do what they can to keep the numbers down.

I totally understand the draw to go out, especially if you are young and fit (relatively) but there are consequences to your actions and it maybe others who have to deal with it.

The thread was started before the PM's set of announcements.

Now we are asked to refrain from all non-essential gatherings, especially indoors.

So cancel
