My anxiety is sky high, I don't know if I'm being dramatic.

2 are mid to end of high school though. Other doing SATs in primary soon

I just relaly don't know. I want to keep them off because I'm scared but I don't know

I wish the government would just shut them down

Send them in

Bulbosaur · 16/03/2020 07:47

But what if they get sick?

Then you look after them just like you would if they got chicken pox, the flu or a myriad of other childhood illnesses that can have serious side effects.

PurpleDaisies · 16/03/2020 07:49

Send them in.

brendansbuddy · 16/03/2020 07:57

Send them in. Wait for official advice

neversleepagain · 16/03/2020 07:59

Send them in.

I feel anxious myself but I am sending my children in

Nquartz · 16/03/2020 08:10

For me it would depend on the school. There are so many horror stories on here of I'll children being sent in, no extra cleaning, no soap in toilets etc.

Whereas DDs school is hand washing after every lesson, before/after lunch etc & seem to be going all they can.

Hoggleludo · 16/03/2020 08:21

I'm not sending mine in. I've spoken with their schools. Who are more than happy to keep them at home. I have very complex medical needs. Both are aware of those too

We've been told the government have given them a special code to use. So we won't get fined etc.

Lotuscup563 · 16/03/2020 08:24

I’m not sending mine in, I have a health issue thoguh and if I get this I’ll be one of the ones who needs hospital treatment.

Tens of thousands of people will die from this...I’m going to try and minimise my risk...and yes, we are willing to do it for 4 months if it means their mother has a better chance

Number3or4 · 16/03/2020 08:24

Do you or any of your kids have comprised immune system? If yes, then you might need to take them out of school and temporarily home school them and then re enrol them.

Otherwise send them in.

TwilightPeace · 16/03/2020 08:25

Nope keep them off. Schools will be closing soon anyway for a very long time.

Snowflakes1122 · 16/03/2020 08:26

I haven’t sent mine in. My 5 year old has an autoimmune condition and asthma. Already had a hospital admission that means weeks off school. So weak we can’t risk it.

AxisOfDick · 16/03/2020 08:29

Mine are stopping this Friday
This statement about isolating with the 'mildest of symptoms' is really giving you the go-ahead to use your judgement IMO

BrokenBrit · 16/03/2020 08:31

Don’t send them if you have the choice.
Reduce the spread.

elQuintoConyo · 16/03/2020 08:31

I'm on lockdown in Spain, I think it's fucking nuts that schools are still open. People are not taking this seriously enough Angry
