If you had developed a (new) sore throat with no temperature, a slight cough that isn’t continuous, would you stay at home or carry on as normal?

I’m pretty sure that, originally, a sore throat was one of the symptoms to look for. Now it’s not... Confused

Stay at home, you have developed a new cough - even if it is slight

My daughter has a tiny cough. Coughs twice every 6/8 hours. Should we stay home? Do I keep her brothers home as well?

QuestionMarkNow · 16/03/2020 07:43

The cough isn’t really new (I’m still recovering from that bug/cold in January that knock me down).
It’s just the sore throat that is new.

@Goandplay, I would say it’s not a continuous cough so it should be ok for her to go to school?
Have you checked her temperature?

If you don’t have a new cough or fever, you don’t need to self isolate.

MoltonSilver · 16/03/2020 07:51

How do you define a continuous cough?

Goandplay · 16/03/2020 07:57

No temperature and completely fine in herself.

Thank you.

Continuous cough is one where you can hold your breath I think.
