Children with low immunity - will they be self isolating for months too?

Our DD has low immunity due to the medication she takes for her chronic disease.

What will happen to these children, will they be expected to go to school? Will the whole house be self isolating to protect the child? I’m very worried as I come into contact with around 200-300 children per day and I could easily bring the virus back into the home.

Unfortunately nobody knows yet.

I really hope we will all be told to self isolate. The thought of bringing it back into the home is unthinkable.

I am wondering the same. I don't expect the government to give us any guidance on this. They seem to be feeding us to the wolves.

Luckily I am a SAHM and am going to keep my DD with low immunity and DS off too. Waiting for DH to work from home and then we will all self isolate for as long as possible.

I hope we get some clear instructions ASAP that will protect our children.
How old are your DC?

11 and 9.

I've given up on hoping for clear instructions.

Always have wanted to try homeschooling so we're going to take this as our opportunity. I do feel sad that they'll not be seeing their friends every day. I feel bad about that. But I'll feel worse if the unthinkable happens.

Slightly younger than mine.

I was really hoping we would have been given some guidance last night. I feel like I’m putting her in danger everyday when I come home from work.

Has anyone received any support or guidance from work regarding wfh?

Absolutely dreading the thought of going in and bringing it home to my daughter.

I think it needs common sense, not government advice. Just stay home and protect her. Have your employer said if this could be an option?
