Disagreement in the family about what self-isolation means.

Just had a big row with DH. I am ill with a fever and I am going to stay at home for the required 7 days. No other symptoms. DH thinks I should take DD3 to school this week because I won't see anyone. I could just walk her to the end of the road that school is on (I often do this anyway - she is 9 years old) or drive her and drop her off.
I just think that the rules are very clear to not leave the house. And I think if you need to self-isolate then do it properly, or it is irresponsible. He thinks I am totally overreacting. And DD2 agrees with him. I feel very ganged up on and they do not take it seriously. They think I am being ridiculous and I don't have coronavirus. Of course I may well not have coronavirus, and I hope I don't but that isn't really the point. The guidelines are about having a fever or a cough. I think DD3 might as well stay at home with me. She is probably infected anyway as we spend a lot of time together. AIBU?

NHS advice from website about self isolation:
"do not leave the house, for example to go for a walk, to school or public places"

You are right but you can’t argue with stupid. Just say no and give DH the choice to drop her or she misses school.

I think officially you are right as you are supposed to self isolate as far as possible from those you love with too

YADNBU.

Having said that, it sounds like it wouldn’t be a bad idea for DD3 to stay at home with you, anyway.
