Sore throat - do I still go to work?

Hi all. Today I have had a sore throat and slightly raised temperature (37.6). No cough, but I've seen that sore throat can still be a symptom, just not a key one.

I'm supposed to be working tomorrow, but not really sure whether I should as I would hate to be responsible for spreading it if it did turn out to be coronavirus. My job can quite easily be done from home m, but my employer has so far been resistant to allowing home working. I haven't long returned from maternity leave and also with it being a monday morning I'm just a bit worried it would give the wrong impression. Also, if it turned out not to be anything but I then became ill again and needed to self isolate, well I suppose I'm just concerned that I'll seem as though I'm over reacting or faking it. Ridiculous I know...

You need to self isolate because of the temperature although I think I read it was 37.8. But I'd err on the side of caution and isolate at the moment.

Thanks - that what my instinct is saying. Does that means the rest of my household should too, since they almost certainly have it? I don't think that's the official advice though?

I had that temperature and a sore throat this morning. Within hours it was 39 degrees. I’m SI.

Hi OP, DH and I are also slightly unwell with low grade fever, sore throat and cough. DS (9) is fine but we're unsure of whether to send him to school or not. I think we might keep him off just to be on the cautious side.
