Grandparents for pick and drop off

Does anyone rely on Grandparents for pick up and drop off?

I am a teacher and rely on my parents for this.
I wonder if my school will be flexible to allow this to happen?

Every thing seems so vague.

I would bloody hope so, but knowing how poorly you're being treated and if others ask.

But please ask. I don't know what the DfE expects.

My dad does one pick up and I've asked him not to, but I am fortunate that can sort that. Not everybody can.

Yes after school a couple of days a week and they are in 70s age group .
I'm going to ask a work this week contingency plan as I'll need to leave early and ask if I can wfh for a hour or so or it'll be unpaid and if schools close even further .

Yes my mother in law picks up my kids up. Thankfully my dh, has been advised to work from home. Otherwise we would be screwed.

Normally yes they do lots of before and after school care.
DH is WFH for the foreseeable so he’s now doing it.
We are keeping this week normal but if school continues after Friday will be pulling DS and I will take some unpaid leave.
We have a contingency account and have been overpaying in the mortgage so can afford a few months of me not earning.

Yes, I'm hoping DH has to work from home so he can do it otherwise I'm going to have to ask to drop my hours temporarily - I'm NHS though so can't see it happening!
