The scientific community is questioning Boris' virus strategy: a gamble because too many unknowns

Apologies if these have been posted before, but here are some reminders of what the scientific community is thinking of Boris Johnson's virus strategy.

We are not talking about some random influencer on twitter, we are talking about the British Society for Immunology saying we don't know enough about the virus to know if the herd immunity strategy will work.

We are talking about loads of scientists urging the government to disclose the assumptions and the modelling behind its strategy. If the strategy is so scientific, why not transparently disclose the science behind it???

As long as they don't, how can we dispel the fear that the strategy simply prioritises minimising the damage to the economy, and if plenty of people have to die, most of whom will be misreported as victims of something else because the country isn't even testing, then so be it?
