Looks like dry cough. No temperature, but his cheeks are red. What to look out for? I’m soo worried. It’s hard to isolate him.

Has there been any slap cheek at school/nursery?

It’s not hard to isolate him. Stay in the house for 7 days!

If he has developed a cough you must isolate him for 7 days. We can't tell you if it is or in't CV, but it is possible.

It may not be Corona, but you have to act as though it is. New cough is one of the symptoms that requires isolation for at least 7 days. Doesn't matter if he has no temperature: it's temp OR cough. Good luck with the isolation Flowers

It doesn't matter if it might be slap cheek, or whatever else - you HAVE to isolate for a cough. Seriously, the public advice on this has been really really clear.

Meant to say, OP, you don't need to be really worried for him - for children his age it's no more dangerous than the flu.

I’ll be keeping him at home definitely!!! What I meant was, it’s hard to isolate him IN the house. He won’t sit in a room :(

You don't need to keep him in one room. That is really not realistic. Who else lives in your home?

Know the feeling.
My 18 month has been poorly since last weekend with a cold, thought he was teething but doesn't seem so.
He also has red cheeks and a bit of a temp.

Wednesday I got ill with cough, fever.
And now he's coughing too... 😭

Were on day 4 of isolation, only been in the garden for fresh air.
You can tell he's really bored already bless him.
He loves being out and about. But needs must huh...!

Oh, sorry! Yeah, I've been thinking the guidance isn't very helpful where it's a child. Unless you're high risk or over 50, you're unlikely to be really badly affected yourself, in your position I'd just care for him as with any other virus, but self-isolate as a family for 14 days to check all-clear. Does that sound sensible to other posters?

Probably not, but he still has to stay at home for 7 days. Dont bother trying to keep him in one room, if he has it, you all do.

I’m keeping the kids home anyway. I’m worried about his brother (twin) who has mild asthma.

No one on here (or indeed elsewhere, given lack of community testing!) can tell you if it's Corona or not. NHS seem to be trying keep.it very simple with the symptoms, as the cough and/or temp are the usual ones, but the WHO information specifically says that some of those with Corona also had a runny nose/congestion. It's frustrating that you'll probably never know, but you're just going to have assume it is and act accordingly.
