Bodyshop taking precautions

Not sure where this post/thread should be but has anyone else received an email from the Bodyshop stating they are no longer displaying any sample pots of products, also no longer doing make up demonstrations etc. I find this encouraging that they are going some way to prevent contamination. However today I was in a Superdrug branch and there were the ladies threading customers' eyebrows which I find ugly, holding the floss type string in their mouths while being inches above the face lying below them.

I have not given this a thought until tonight, make up demos and hair stylists, probably a whole lot of other services carrying on and taking risks.

Where is it all going to end?

I’ve had a string of emails today from various companies (beauty, supermarket, takeaways, museums etc), all about what they’re doing regarding Covid-19 - things like no more makeovers, changes to home delivery services (so that drivers can leave things at doors if self isolating for instance), cancellation of events... that sort of thing.

I think bit by bit companies will withdraw more personal services whilst individuals also become less likely to book them, IYSWIM. Right now a lot of people are still getting their heads around things like having to self isolate with a cough or cancelling upcoming holidays, and government hasn’t said “No more beauty treatments” or anything of the like, so a lot of it is driven more by perception of risk and risk tolerance than official guidance.

We are in the earlier build up of this so we have a while to go yet, I am assuming things will become increasingly restricted with time.
